Lingo

Ham radio has its own set of lingo. It is improper to use the 10 code. No "what's your 10-20?". There is a real stigma associated with the CB world and anything related to it is frowned upon. Its perfectly legal but its just not done.

Ham Radio uses the Q-Code. For a complete list go here. The most common are as follows:

QTH- Location

QRM- Interference (Man Made)

QSB- Fading Signal

QRT- Stop Sending, going off the air

QSL- Roger, I copy, do you copy

QRZ- Did someone call me?

QSO- Conversation, contact

QSY- Switching Frequency

QRP- Low Power/Decrease power
